Cookies and session recording

This site places one cookie by default and only uses external trackers if you give consent. Here is exactly what we measure and what we do not.

What we always measure — anonymously, without consent

How often a page is viewed, how far visitors scroll, how long a section stays on screen, and which buttons get clicked without anything happening. These are daily totals only. No identifier is created and nothing is stored on your device, so these figures cannot be traced back to you.

What we record only with consent

The sequence of your visit: where your mouse went, where you clicked, how far you scrolled and which fields you touched. That lets us replay a single visit to understand where someone got stuck. If you submit a form or leave your details in the chat during such a visit, we link that enquiry to the recording of that visit so we can see the route that led up to it. Separate visits still stay separate, and we still record nothing of what you type.

What we never record

What you type. No input value is ever read — not encrypted, not masked, simply not read.
Password fields and payment details. These are ignored entirely; we do not even record that you touched them.
Your IP address. There is no column in our database it could go into.
Images of your screen. We store events, not video.

Storage and retention

Recordings sit on our own servers in Ireland and are deleted automatically after 30 days. Data is only shared with third parties (such as Google Ads) if you consent to marketing cookies. You can withdraw this consent at any time via the cookie settings. By default, we only use a cookie to remember your language preference. If you consent to marketing or session-recording cookies, additional cookies are placed — see below for a breakdown per category. Your choice below is kept locally in your browser so that we can honour a ‘no’.
